Autovial Compound Weighing
We are pleased to announce the completion of not one but two autovial weighers for a major blue chip pharmaceutical company. The systems perform the following simple functions:
- 500 vials every six hours with a capacity for 750 vials per system.
- Sample and Tare weighing to four decimal places.
- Barcode reading.
- Capping and De-Capping.
- Feeding of both ready capped and uncapped vials.
- Identification of vials that require special processing and replacement of the standard white cap with yellow ones.
In addition to this standard functionality our customer specified the following advanced capabilities.
- Three protocol operation for the following operations:
- Weighing vials containing sample.
- Simple vial weighing of uncapped vials.
- Bulk feeding of capped vials uncapping, weighing & then re-capping.
- Total system recovery from errors including power loss, component failure or air supply failure. Running resumes from last operation.
- Integration with building management system and email notification to specified users of any problems.
- Communication over the network with a central database.
All Labman Robots are completely built around our customer's process but as a guide a system with this functionality would cost in the region of GBP 70,000 (approx USD 120,000 or Euro 105,000) Please Contact Us for further information.
