Vial Weighing Service
Labman has a series of robots dedicated to tare weighing vials specifically for compound stores. This service allows users to buy pre-tared vials for their discovery labs so the contents can be weighed when samples reach the store.
The systems barcode read and tare weigh each vial twice to ensure consistent and accurate results are reported. All of the vial barcodes and weights are recorded to a batch output file for further processing and validation procedures. Vials that cannot be barcode-scanned or weighed for any reason are dumped into a reject bin to ensure that they do not get mixed up with the tray of good vials. Replacement vials are weighed and added to complete each tray. Weights are temperature compensated by weighing a vial of a known weight (or golden vial) at the beginning of each tray.
