Labman self certifies all outgoing equipment. To do this a whole raft of EU directives, UK regulations and Labman 'sensible things to check for' are compiled into a set of documents relating to each piece of kit. This includes anything from the danger of cutting a finger or radiating high levels of radio frequencies to inadvertently giving a customer a software virus.
Purpose built EMC testing equipment trolley
Labman operates a suite of EMC (Electro Magnetic Compatibility) Testing equipment. In essence we check a whole range of the electromagnetic spectrum to see if we are emitting radio frequency energy over certain stipulated levels and whether the equipment is susceptible to going wrong when subjected to static electric shocks. We also check to see if we are sending anything nasty back down the electrical mains supply.
